Desventajas: You gave us an F-150. It was the biggest car we’ve ever driven, so it was hard for us to park and maneuver it. We had to be extremely careful so to not ding it as we parked it. It required us to back up and retry everytime we needed to park or make a tight turn.
Ventajas: staff was super wonderful and fast and friendly.. Car was way over what I expected.. Extremely clean.. cleaner than clean.. super fast in AND out.. return was ridiculously fast and courteous.. Great $$ value
Ventajas: Car was comfortable. Drop off was easy but we had problems getting the car because our flight was late and they told us that there were no cars available. Eventually they found replacement but we were close to cancelling our reservation.
Desventajas: They should not base car availability on arrival time. Flights are late or rescheduled. We came only two hours late and were told that they did not have a car for us because of this.
Ventajas: Honestly didnt like anything about our experience from the car to the staff. Overall unprofessional. My spouse and I rented a vehicle in early June to travel from SC to NJ and back. A couple of hours into our trip a huge roach, the kind that fly was crawling on my foot. I freaked out and this could of potentially been dangerous, good thing I wasn't driving. That made us worry about our luggage in the trunk as we didnt want roaches infesting our belongings.
On our way up to New Jersey there was no way for us to pay cash for our tolls due to covid and we were forced to go through the EZ Pass. We immediately call Thrifty to notify them and were told we'd have to pay the tolls online for every state we went through a toll. When we tried to pay online through the state,we didnt have an invoice number that was require to pay the toll. That we needed from thrifty. We called thrifty again only to have our account noted. Now several months later we're being charged $90.00 in toll and penalty. When I called again to speak to the Manager Jessica I was given an attitude over the phone and was told that it was my responsibility to pay the tolls despite our multiple attempts to make the payment, which now include a penalty fee. I was also hung up on and when I called back and asked to speak to the Manager Jessica again I was sidelined.
I travel to NJ once a month for work, we rent vehicles and fly often. This by far has been my worst experience ever dealing with any kind of customer service agents.
Desventajas: Dealing with a competent manager.
Desventajas: Car was very dirty inside. Seats were stained and sand on floor. Outside had a lot of scratches.
Ventajas: The staff at pick up and return were amazing, super friendly and accomodating
Desventajas: Speed of picking up the vehicle, there was only 1 person in front of me and it still took over 15 mins. to get to the counter. BUT once I got there it was very fast.
Desventajas: Front desk person on the day of arrival was rude as could be. My ID was having trouble scanning but She did not work towards a solution, basically telling me to f#%^ off, leaving me without a rental car for the entire week. Was not a fun week.
Ventajas: Friendly staff
Ventajas: I was charged a different rate because they taxes was different from what I was quoted.
Desventajas: Get the right taxes
Ventajas: Nothing. We never got a car.
Desventajas: Terrible customer service. We have amazing credit and extensive history, but we were RUDELY told we didn’t have enough credit history when we arrived even though we can see they didn’t pull our credit. We were able to make a reservation without credit questions. We had to sit there stranded with our one year old with no way to get to our hotel because we didn’t even have a car seat (since we were going to get one from them) and no one else had cars. We never ended up getting a car from Thrifty even after paying for insurance through a 3rd party. We assumed there may not have been a car for us, because we can clearly see she never pulled our credit.
Desventajas: Won’t let locals rent at the airport
Ventajas: When we booked online, the rates were less than competitors.
